As part of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Corridor the Leechburg Trail goes from the boarder of Leechburg and Gilpin Township through the historic town of Leechburg to the Hyde Park Swinging Bridge that crosses the Kiskiminitus River to Hyde Park.
There are many shops and restaurants in town only a block off of the trail. There is also a bed & breakfast for overnight accommodations.
